Inspiring Story of Courage and Determination

By Ven On June 14, 2010 Under Food For Thought

Like most people, I have dreams, goals and ambitions for my life and, like a lot of people, I also have excuses for not pursuing and achieving those dreams.

  • I don’t have enough time.
  • I don’t have enough money.
  • I don’t know the right people.
  • I don’t know how to do it.

Then I see something like this and realize I have no excuses at all. If I’m not achieving a dream, it’s because I’m not doing what it takes to get there. It’s up to me to take that first step, then the next one, then the one after that.

Take a few minutes and watch this video about D.J. Gregory and the next time you find yourself making excuses, think of him, pick yourself up, and keep going. I know I will.

    Hi Ven,

Thank you for sharing this very inspiring video. Like you said, it’s the perfect reminder to act instead of making excuses for why we can’t do something.

What I also found inspiring is how DJ used a blog to tell his story. It shows me how with a blog, we can touch lives. How cool is that?

    Hi Barbara,

You’re very welcome. I love sharing inspirational stories. They always have such a big impact on me and I can’t help but pass that along.

I, too, am inspired by the impact that blogs can have on our lives. It’s one of the things I love most about blogging. Everything else is just extras.

    Ven

    Hi Ven.
This was a touching video. I appreciated watching this and sharing the very raw emotions of DJ and his father. I love when people can freely express their emotions like that… especially men. Most genuine. Thanks for sharing.
