Never Be Lost Again: Garmin Nuvi 260W GPS Review

By Ven On June 9, 2010 No Comments

Imagine driving in a strange city, frustrated, trying to read a map or make sense of directions while dodging traffic and pedestrians, impatient drivers honking their horns because they don’t care how lost you are. I’ve been there and it’s not a pleasant experience.

Thanks to my Garmin Nuvi 260W, I will never be there again and you don’t have to be either. Thanks to this handy little gadget, I can hop in my car and go anywhere I want at any time and never worry about getting lost. I find myself looking for places to go just for the fun of it. My Nuvi gets me where I need to go every time.

Here are just some of the Nuvi’s great features:

  • Crisp, clear, 4.3 inch touchscreen with 2D and 3D views.
  • Turn-by-turn directions with voice guidance. The unit has

This is the EMF meter frequently used on the Ghost Hunters show. I own one and I used it on my last ghost hunt at Waverly Hills Sanatorium in Louisville, Kentucky and loved it. It worked great and seems to have great battery life. I will be using it again on my next ghost hunting trip to Eastern State Penitentiary in Philadelphia coming up next week.

Both products are great, especially in winter, because they keep ice and frost from sticking to the windows and anything that makes cleaning the car off in freezing temperatures makes me happy.

Until a few weeks ago, though, I’d never tried the Rain-X wiper blades. I’m so glad I did. These blades are amazing! They wipe the window completely clean with every swipe and there’s no squeegee squeak like you get with some wiper blades. They even do a great

Olympus WS-500 Digital Voice Recorder

By Ven On May 7, 2010 No Comments

Olympus Recorder My recent trip to the paranormal convention in Louisville, Kentucky included a night of Ghost Hunting at Waverly Hills. While there, I got the chance to use my Olympus WS-500 Digital Voice Recorder for the first time. Although this recorder is usable right out of the box, especially by someone who may already have experience with voice recorders, I found that it took a little bit of time and a few views of the user’s manual to learn how to use all of the features and settings to maximum effect. Fortunately, the recorder comes with a copy of the manual on the recorder itself, in case you leave home without the manual in tow, like me.

Once I got the basics down, I found the recorder very easy and convenient to use. I could easily operate the recorder without
